Moda Clothier
The Problem: Design a high-end branding set for a company heavily involved in the creative and fashion industries.
Moda Clothier is a fictional high-end custom clothing retailer that caters towards a celebrity clientele. The logomark is compromised of a needle, button, and thread that visually resemble the letters "MC."
Instead of a clean-cut, starkly professional appearance, I took into consideration the creative aspect of custom tailor work. I embraced this creative aspect and used ink washes and vectorized images as textures. Ink washes are commonly seen in fashion sketches and illustrations, so I made that a prominent texture. Since red is commonly seen at celebrity events in the red carpet, handrails, and other elements, I used red as a color for emphasis. The combination of serif with sans serif fonts is also a nod to many high-fashion brands.
